There are a lot of people that inspire my acting! In general, actors like Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, who take roles to places that is beyond the grasp of imagination. Courageous film makers that followed their dreams and did not take no for an answer such as Kevin Smith, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. Also my acting coach Doug Warhit, and fellow co-stars that have been great mentors, such as Mark Dacascos and Joe Sabatino.
I have had such a great opportunity to play some fun characters. I think my favorite character is Eddie/Tai-Lo from The Adventures of Johnny Tao. I got to play a simple minded sidekick and then the super-evil villain in the same movie. I can't wait for it to come out so you can see what I mean.
I have trained in many different style and performance styles. It is one to the benefits of living in LA – some of the best training in the country is right at our fingertips. I have done Hip-hop, Wushu, Tae Kwon Do and Circus Performing in the same week. It is great to see how every training and performance art has so many similarities and I always feel it is very important to keep your mind open and try different things.
